Events

The event will enable the guests to commune with nature, go bird watching, bring their family for a picnic, listen to children's stories and plant a tree with Mayor Lim. It will also feature summer fair offering homemade desserts and native delicacies. Old books and magazine will also be on sale.

Called Sandiwang-Isang Diwa Para sa Kalikasan, the event aims to bring together men and women of faith to set aside their religious differences and unite for the healing of Mother Earth.

 

 

To highlight the campaign for clean air, a bicycle tour has celebrated Earth Day since 1998. Called the tour of the fireflies, it is an annual 50-km bicycle ride around the cities of Metro Manila.

This is an annual event which aims to call attention to the state of Philippine Waters particularly the dying Pasig River an tirbutaries.

Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars... and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful.  Everything is simply happy.  Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance.  Look at the flowers - for no reason.  It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.  ~Osho

Festivities start at 9:00am at the SM Mall of Asia, Bay Area. The event wil highlight the state of the Phillipine Environment Address by the Secretary of DENR and the presentation of 10 Million Acts of Green by the Earth Day Network Philippines. Awarding of the Zero Basura Olympics-Business Sector and the DENR-EMB Junk Art Contest winners will also be featured.
